What was SPIRE?

SPIRE was a project funded by the European Commission within the ESPRIT/ESSI programme, involving partners in Austria, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, and Northern Ireland in the United Kingdom. Click for an overview.

Our objective was to help small software development units - SSDs, employing up to 50 software staff, both software companies and small units in larger user organisations - to get business benefit from investment in software process improvement (SPI) and to share the experience with others.
