Background
The Event

The Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) is the most recent generation of maturity model published by the SEI. This model provides a framework for organisations to improve their ability to develop and maintain quality products and services. It is intended that organisations will be better able to adopt this model to their business goals and objectives by providing a greater degree of flexibility. The goal is to improve efficiency, return on investment and effectiveness.

The CMMI® provides two representations, either continuous or staged, and allows you to determine which best suits your needs. The staged approach is similar to the software CMM® and organises process areas into 5 maturity levels to support and guide your process improvements. The continuous approach allows you to select the order of improvement that best suits your business objectives. It is each organisation’s choice to choose the representation that best suits their needs.

This course will help your organisation to understand the structure and content of both representations of the CMMI® model and to choose the representation which is most appropriate for your organisation.

CMM® CMMI® is registered in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
